Canoe and Kayak Courses

Any adults wishing to start Kayaking or Canoeing Burrs Activity Centre can offer you the chance to gain your 1*/2* BCU awards, these are recognised awards and the training takes part on our purpose built pond.

The course lasts approximately 10 weeks and is pre-bookable. This course covers both kayak and canoe which are the new BCU awards. The times and costs are set out below, please contact us to book on a course or for further information.

Adults - Saturday 3-4.30pm at a cost of £10 per person per session

For Juniors we offer training both on a Thursday evening 5-6.30pm (until the end of October) and also on a Saturday morning 10.30am - 12 noon.

Burrs can guide you through the British Canoe Union Paddle Power Start Passport and Discover booklets where Juniors can gain experience in both kayaking and canoeing.
